Wednesdays 10am to 1pm, Accredited, 5 Credits
Foundation in Drawing, Term 1 is a part-time, 15-week course in drawing that provides a skill-based approach to the development of individual drawing practice. The course provides the basic technical, material and observational skills for drawing and is aimed at students developing the requisite skill base for drawing or professional artists wishing to up-skill. The module contains an anatomy element delivered in partnership with the RCSI.

TU Dublin Accreditation
The completion of all 6 modules are awarded with a CPD Diploma in Painting and Drawing, Technological University Dublin, Minor Award with a NQF Level 8. Students can complete all 6 modules over the course of one academic year or complete separate modules over the course of a number of years. For more information on each module for Term 2, please see above. All modules will be subject to the quality assurance and exam regulations of TU Dublin. Please note that students are not required to complete Term 1 courses before applying for Term 2 courses.
RHA School Access Programme
As part of the RHA School Access Programme, two free places on RHA School courses are offered – one to an artist currently enrolled at any of the third-level art colleges in Ireland and one to an artist of merit at any stage of their career. Artists and art students who wish to be considered for these places should include a cover letter with their online application providing a short statement indicating how they would benefit from attending the course.
