Friends of the RHA

The Friends of the Royal Hibernian Academy was established in 1997 to support the work of the Academy. Since then, the number of Friends has grown to over 1,100 and their enthusiasm and engagement continue to enhance the life of the Academy.

The vital funds generated by the Friends represent the lifeblood of the Academy, and are directed towards all aspects of the Academy including the production of our world-class exhibitions, the Gallery’s public education programmes and the continuous upgrading of facilities.

As a Friend of the RHA you will be supporting excellence in the Arts.  The RHA holds a unique position in Irish culture as the oldest, artist-led visual arts organisations in the country, providing a platform for the best contemporary art and artists in Ireland and abroad.  The Friends of the RHA programme brings artists and supporters together in the enjoyable appreciation and understanding of art.
