We’re delighted to let you know that the RDS is kindly offering the Friends of the RHA free tours of its Treasures Collection to very small groups of 6 people from 21 October every Thursday at 2pm and 3.30pm.
Booking is HERE through Eventbrite only and on a first come, first served basis.
Friends and visitors will be treated to a guided snoop around the RDS Council Chamber, where they’ll have a rare opportunity to meet some of the Society’s past presidents and professors. Formal introductions to their paterfamilias and other esteemed personages will be made in the Members’ Club, and there’ll be a few more saints, scholars and scamps along the way – and maybe even a soupçon of scandal.
There’s much more including the Lavery, the Pursers, the Dutch Golden Age masterpieces, the Barrets, the Van Nosts, and the two Orpens …
The tour, suitable for all ages, will run weekly from Thursday 21st October at 2pm and 3.30pm. Booking is essential as places are very limited.
