The O’Malley Residency is being offered for one year from March 2021 to March 2022. The artist awarded the residency in Callan, Co. Kilkenny will have the exclusive use of the house and studio at a nominal cost of €300 per month plus utilities. The studio is not suitable for sculptors. APPLY HERE.

Deadline for all listed studio applications is 4th October 2020 at 5pm. Online applications only. Any further queries may be directed to info@rhagallery.ie.

Artists in Residence at Áras Éanna Arts Centre, Inis Oírr, Co Galway | 1 – 28 November.

Áras Éanna, Europe’s most westerly Arts Centre is situated on Inis Oírr, the smallest of the Aran Islands in spectacular Galway Bay. Situated in a former weaving factory, Áras Éanna has a 75 seater theatre, an exhibition gallery, several studio/work rooms and it’s artist residence. For the past twenty years Áras Éanna has welcomed local, national and international artists to participate in their Artist in Residence programme.

The RHA in partnership with Áras Éanna are delighted to announce a residency on Inis Oírr for the month of November. The rugged island with its patchwork of dry stone walls and the magnificent Atlantic along with a culturally rich community provides a place of inspiration for artists. The residency will provide the self-contained apartment with an adjoining studio located at the arts centre (that has a stunning view of Inis Meáin and the vast Atlantic ocean) along with a €500 stipend to the successful candidate.

The adjudicating panel will consist of Colin Martin RHA, Head of RHA School and Dara McGee, Artistic Director, Áras Éanna.

Conditions of the residency: Please fill out the below application form and include a cover letter to explain how you would use the residency.
