After a successful series of talks by several artists including Alice Maher RHA, Mick O’Dea PRHA and Alison Pilkington, the RHA School public talk series On Drawing has been extended to 2017. Programmed in partnership with DIT and IADT, this series developed from discussions on what the role of drawing is within current practice – to plan, observe, describe, conceive and imagine. It can be an endpoint or a generative activity within a wider exploration. The RHA School will host another series of public talks where invited artists have been asked to present with a view to addressing the role drawing plays within their wider practice. The series will explore a range of perspectives and positions in contemporary drawing.
