We are delighted to announce that with Avolon, the RHA was awarded the Best Long Term Partnership Award at the Allianz Business to Arts Award on Tuesday 3 September for the Avolon Global Studio Award.
The RHA have enjoyed a strong working relationship with Avolon, over the last 3 years collaborating on both the Avolon Global Studio Award and Avolon Youthreach Programme. Created in 2016, each year, the RHA made an open call to a geographic region suited to Avolons marketing priorities and artist were invited to apply for a fully funded 3/6 month residency at the RHA Studios.
Selected by an independent committee, the chosen artists were as follows:
“One of Avolon’s core values is bravery and we see art as the epitome of bravery. In Avolon, we feel a responsibility to support and enable artists. We encourage our team to push the boundaries; we must encourage artists to do the same. And they must do so freed from constraint, both artistic and financial. The Avolon Global Studio Award is relevant to our international business and is bringing greater diversity to the arts community in Ireland.” Avolon Spokesperson.
We the RHA, were delighted to receive this award and wish to convey our thanks to Avolon for their invaluable support which allowed us to be ambitious for this project and the artists it supported.
