Remco de Fouw graduated from NCAD in 1991 with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Fine Art Sculpture.

He has had six solo exhibitions to date; The Project Arts Centre, 1994; Limerick City Gallery, 1994; Temple Bar Galleries, 1997; the Model Arts Centre Sligo, 1998, The Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, 2002 an the Atlantic Gallery Clifden, 2003.

He exhibits regularly in the RHA Annual Exhibition and in various shows around the country. Most recently with ‘Perspectives ’03’ at the Ormeau Baths Gallery, Belfast; Eigse, Carlow; ‘Forty Shades of Green’ at the Glucksman Gallery, Cork (2005) and in ‘Common Ground’ at the Grennan Mill for Kilkenny Arts Week in 2005.

He has received various awards including the Alexandra Wejchert Sculpture Award, 1998 and a number of Arts Council Bursaries. His work in represented in many public and private collections including those of the Arts Council, Irish Life, the OPW and several County Councils.

Remco de Fouw was elected an Associate Member of the Academy in October 2005.
