This workshop will explore the use of plasticine, clay and wire to create small movable figures. These different and colourful materials will be put together to create characters that embody ideas, feelings and tell stories. Skills such as building, modelling, colour, and texture will be developed during the workshop. Kids will create their own sculptural works of art.
We will start by drawing the subject, exaggerating or reducing features slightly. Then we will take a lump of plasticine, gradually moulding out the character. You can take your portrait home or squash it up to do another.
