Dublin Gallery Weekend

Join us this November for the third edition of Dublin Gallery Weekend. This city-wide event is a collaboration between almost 40 art galleries and museums across the city, who have joined together to present a specially programmed series of free public events such as talks, concerts, tours, workshops and more, alongside their exciting exhibitions and projects by a diverse range of artists. Dublin Gallery Weekend invites visitors to come and experience something new, and to discover art in galleries of all types ranging from the biggest modern art museums in the country to the smallest, tucked away experimental art spaces. Access to the Dublin Gallery Weekend programme will be available via www.dublingalleryweekend.ie or through the printed map which will be available in vari- ous locations across the city. Participating galleries include the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin City Gallery the Hugh Lane, the Project Arts Centre, Kerlin Gallery, the National College of Art and Design Gallery, Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, The Lab Gallery, Artbox, The Library Project, RHA and many more.

Thursday 23 Nov, open 11am – 5pm

1pm: Performance, Car Dealing – Making Art by Naomi Sex, performed by Darina Gallagher. Duration 20 min.

1.30pm: Free lunchtime tour of the current exhibitions with RHA Curator, Victoria Evans.

11am – 1.30pm: Body Language By David Bolger, CoisCéim Dance Theatre, screening of latest work

1.30 – 3pm: Body Language, Creation – Live composition in real time / Interviews

3 – 5pm: Body Language, Screening of today’s interview.

 

Friday 24 Nov, open 11am – 5pm

1pm: Performance, Car Dealing – Making Art by Naomi Sex, performed by Darina Gallagher. Duration 20 min.

1.30pm: Free lunchtime tour of the current exhibitions with RHA Director, Patrick T. Murphy.

11am – 1.30pm: Body Language By David Bolger, CoisCéim Dance Theatre, screening of latest work

1.30 – 3pm: Body Language, Creation – Live composition in real time / Interviews

3 – 5pm: Body Language, Screening of today’s interview.

4pm: Panel Discussion with Body Language Director/Choreographer David Bolger, Designer/Media artist Christopher Ash and Performance artist Amanda Coogan and Professor Fiona Newell, Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience.

 

Saturday 25 Nov, open 11am – 5pm

1pm: Performance, Car Dealing – Making Art by Naomi Sex, performed by Darina Gallagher. Duration 20 min.

1 – 5pm: RHA Art Cart, family event facilitated by an art educator.

11am – 1.30pm: Body Language By David Bolger, CoisCéim Dance Theatre, screening of latest work

1.30 – 3pm: Body Language, Creation – Live composition in real time / Interviews

3 – 5pm: Body Language, Screening of today’s interview.

 

Sunday 26 Nov, open 12 – 5pm

1pm: Performance, Car Dealing – Making Art by Naomi Sex, performed by Darina Gallagher. Duration 20 min.

1 – 5pm: RHA Art Cart, family event facilitated by an art educator.

3 – 5pm : Body Language By David Bolger, CoisCéim Dance Theatre, performance  – culmination of weekly cycle.

3.15pm: Tour of St. Stephens Green Area, Meeting point: Doorway Gallery, continuing to Molesworth Gallery, Taylor Galleries and RHA.
